Annaleigh Amanda Ashford is an American actor, dancer, and singer. Early Broadway performances are Wicked Legally Blonde & Hair. Annaleigh Ashford Tony Award winner actor has worked with many acclaimed directors and actors on theatre and in television. She continues this award-winning career through her forthcoming projects. Ashford's upcoming project is an exclusive Hulu show called Welcome to Chippendales, created by Robert Siegel. The show premieres on November 22, and Ashford stars opposite Kumail Najiani. Ashford is currently working for Searchlight Pictures' horror thriller Dust which stars Sarah Paulson and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. The film is scheduled to stream through Disney's DTC platforms as a Hulu Original. Ashford will return to Broadway in 2023 with the role of Josh Groban opposite Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd. The production takes place in the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. The production is produced by Thomas Kail and produced by Jeffrey Seller, the team that brought you Hamilton. Ashford appeared as Paula Jones most recently in Ryan Murphy's American Crime Story Impeachment, that is a re-telling of the drama that took place in the year 2000. Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp were the primary characters of the first ever impeachment proceeding in America. Ashford was a part of two seasons of the cult CBS comedy B Positive. She was also a guest on the popular series developed by Marco Pennette Chuck Lorre, in which she starred alongside legendary actors Linda Lavin Hector Elizondo Ben Vereen. She is no stranger to Broadway Ashford has won both the Tony Drama Desk Award and the Outer Critics Circle Awards with her performance as Essie. Some other Broadway appearances for Ashford includes Sunday in the Park, in which she starred with George Wicked legally Blonde, and the role of Lauren as Lauren in Kinky Boots. For this performance she received a Tony Award nomination. Ashford, who was raised in Denver, now spends time between Los Angeles & New York.
